As of press time, we now find ourselves nearing the end of a long and glorious temporada of fair weather (it hasn’t rained once since October). Year-round residents learn that the “slow” months of May and June are among Mazatlan’s most pleasant, especially for sun-worshipers and those who appreciate warm, balmy nights.

Mazatlan continues to expand and progress in all directions. The recently completed mammoth damnification project Presa Picachos ensures long-term water supplies; the ever fascinating Acuario continues to add new buildings, exhibits and attractions; renovations to the sophisticated Plazuela Machado, the picturesque Mercado Central, and the incomparable Malecon seawalk help Mazatlan beautiful and inviting.
