Good Ol' Mazatlan - The City That Has It All

Mazatlan, “the Pearl of the Pacific”, has long been world famous as a fabulous place to visit and is now increasingly being discovered by many as a marvelous place to live. Mazatlan combines an affordable, tourist-friendly beach resort with a thriving, authentic cultural scene, so there’s never a dull moment, whatever you may be looking for!

There is a lively resident community of “norteamericanos”, including thousands of Canadians, and the host state of Sinaloa is widely known for the exceptionally friendly and outgoing nature of its people, so a newcomer instantly feels welcome. You’re never lonely in Mazatlan (unless you want to be).

Mazatlan posseses a unique charm.Where else can you spend a world class day sailing, marlin fishing, golfing or just relaxing at the beach, then catch a breezy pulmonia along the scenic waterfront to enjoy a night of symphony, opera or ballet at the Teatro Angela Peralta? For gastronomical gourmets, Mazatlan offers the finest, freshest seafoods, as well as traditional and international cuisines. And talk about affordability,  let’s just say you get more bliss for your buck in Mazatlan!

As of press time, we now find ourselves nearing the end of a long and glorious temporada of fair weather (it hasn’t rained once since October). Year-round residents learn that the “slow” months of May and June are among Mazatlan’s most pleasant, especially for sun-worshipers and those who appreciate warm, balmy nights.

Mazatlan continues to expand and progress in all directions. The recently completed mammoth damnification project Presa Picachos ensures long-term water supplies; the ever fascinating Acuario continues to add new buildings, exhibits and attractions; renovations to the sophisticated Plazuela Machado, the picturesque Mercado Central, and the incomparable Malecon seawalk help Mazatlan beautiful and inviting.

The more you have traveled the world, the more you appreciate multi-faceted Mazatlan!
